Pastoral visiting indoors, including home Communion, should be undertaken only where regarded as essential, such as for the pastoral care of the dying. Gatherings outdoors are restricted to 2 households and a maximum of 6 persons. Public worship continues to be an exception to this, although the maximum numbers at weddings and funerals have changed. The perception of Government is that faith communities are very able to apply the rules and safeguard people’s health, and are highly motivated to do so.

SEC Pastoral Overview -Lockdown Easing – In Phase 2 – 18 June 2020

The College of Bishops and its Advisory Group today issue guidance to the Scottish Episcopal Church on how to prepare for the gradual easing of lockdown restrictions as we approach Phase 2 of the Scottish Government route map through and out of the coronavirus crisis.
