    Jesus said, "Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up."
    On the third Sunday in Lent we reflect on the nature of God's temple. In this view of sun shining through the trees on Kinnoull Hill last month we may be reminded of pillars in an outdoor temple.

    A prayer for the third Sunday in Lent:

    Merciful Father,
    we have no power in ourselves to help ourselves:
    when we are discouraged by our weakness,
    give us strength to follow Christ,
    our pattern and our hope;
    who lives and reigns with you,
    in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
    one God, world without end.
