Diocesan Synod

March 11, 2017

Diocesan Synod will take place at St Ninian’s Cathedral on Saturday 11th March.

Synod will start with prayers at 10.15am followed by Synod business.  Coffee/tea will be available from 9.30am.  Synod Eucharist will take place at 12 noon followed by lunch.

Synod business will continue with after lunch with discussion and voting on the proposed Canons followed by the Act of Synod at around 3.45pm.

Synod Reports and Accounts for the year 2015/16 will be available following Synod.

    On Christmas Day we celebrate the birth of our Saviour Jesus Christ, and reflect on the mystery of the Divine. This crib scene is under the pulpit in Perth Cathedral.In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.     On Christmas Eve we remember the glory of the angels as they brought joyful news to the shepherds watching their flocks. This glorious light over the city of Perth was caused by the Northern Lights earlier this year.Mary gave birth to her firstborn son and wrapped him in bands of cloth and laid him in a manger, because there was no place in the guest room.Now in that same region there were shepherds living in the fields, keeping watch over their flock by night.
