Missional Grants Available from the SEC
Enable Grant funding addresses community need and poverty
The Church in Society Committee of the Scottish Episcopal Church is encouraging applications to the Enable Grant funding scheme to support projects which work to enable life in all its fullness for children, young people and their families.
The Enable Grant, which was previously known as the Child Poverty Grant, can be used to access up to £5000 in any one year. The Church in Society committee is keen to fund a wide range of initiatives and there are no prescribed types of project.
The church recognises that child poverty is a wide-ranging and complex issue and encourages its congregations to work with other partners whether ecumenically, with other faiths or with secular groups/agencies.
As long as your group has a connection to one of our SEC congregations and is meeting a real need in your community (expecting to impact on the lives of children, young people and their families), your application will be considered.

Small grant applications
The amount available for any one project is not stipulated. They are for one year but after a report is provided as to how the grant has been used a further application would be considered. Criteria for small grants:
- living with people of other faiths
- campaigning for social justice
- working for peace
- acting in faith
- promoting economic justice • supporting sustainability
