CONGRATULATIONS

Congratulations to St Mary’s, Dunblane, who have reached the list of Church Times Green Church awards finalists. This is in recognition of their ECO Fest community day in Dunblane. The winners will be announced on 26th September.


And also to St Serf’s, Burntisland, who have been awarded Eco-Congregations’s Bronze award for stewardship of the environment in addressing lifestyle challenges in Lent, and setting up a bee and butterfly friendly garden.

    On the feast day of St Margaret of Scotland we pray especially for the congregations of St Margaret of Scotland, Leven; St Margaret of Scotland, Tayport; and St Margaret, Rosyth. May we all follow St Margaret's example of charity towards all God’s people.This panel, with its painting of a holy person calling us to be holy, is part of the 1600s painted ceiling in St Mary’s Chapel, Grandtully, which is in the care of Historic Scotland.Almighty God,who called your servant Margaret to an earthly thronethat she might advance your heavenly kingdom,and endued her with zeal for your Churchand charity towards your people:mercifully grant that we,who commemorate her example,may be fruitful in good worksand attain to the glorious company of your saints;through Jesus Christ, our Lord,who lives and reigns with youin the unity of the Holy Spirit,one God, world without end.Amen. ...     On the 26th Sunday after Pentecost we read and reflect on Jesus’ warnings of the difficult times ahead for his followers in Jerusalem. Earlier this autumn the sun picked out the stone arches of the bridge over the river Earn in Crieff.As Jesus came out of the temple, one of his disciples said to him, "Look, Teacher, what large stones and what large buildings!"Then Jesus asked him, "Do you see these great buildings?
