    On Christmas Day we celebrate the birth of our Saviour Jesus Christ, and reflect on the mystery of the Divine. This crib scene is under the pulpit in Perth Cathedral.In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.     Diocese of St. Andrews, Dunkeld and Dunblane
    On Christmas Eve we remember the glory of the angels as they brought joyful news to the shepherds watching their flocks. This glorious light over the city of Perth was caused by the Northern Lights earlier this year.Mary gave birth to her firstborn son and wrapped him in bands of cloth and laid him in a manger, because there was no place in the guest room.Now in that same region there were shepherds living in the fields, keeping watch over their flock by night. Then an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified.But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid, for see, I am bringing you good news of great joy for all the people: to you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, who is the Messiah, the Lord.(Luke 2:7-11)O God,you have made this most holy nightgrow radiant with the brilliance of the true Light:grant that, as we have known the mystery of that Light on earth,so we may delight in him in heaven;through the same Jesus Christ, our Lord,who lives and reigns with you,in the unity of the Holy Spirit,one God, world without end.Amen. ...
