On Sunday 20th October we welcome the Morris Begg Duo: Ines Mayhew-Begg is a Scottish soprano with a Master in Vocal Performance from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. Ross Morris (guitar) has performed across the UK as a soloist including at Helly’s International Guitar Festival and he toured with Glyndebourne Opera in 2021.
The Duo “will present a wonderfully varied programme, full of different characters and stories, with beautiful renaissance lute music and new lieder transcriptions for guitar set alongside passionate and upbeat Spanish folk songs. They bring a fresh approach to some of the most loved repertoire for the voice and guitar”. Their programme will include works by Dowland, Purcel, Franz Schubert, James MacMillan, and Manuel de Falla.
As always, the concert starts at 3 o’clock in St. Mary’s Church, Aberfoyle, and lasts an hour followed by tea. Entry is by voluntary donation and places may be booked through
