The Godly Play Storyteller and Door Person Accredited Training is a three-day course designed to give people a better understanding of both the theory and practice of Godly Play.

The course explores each of the main types of story – sacred, parables and liturgy. We concentrate on the core stories that people usually tell at the beginning of their Godly Play journey. Alongside the stories and wondering, are workshops that explore the theology and theory behind Godly Play.

There is a mixture of trainer led and participant storytelling sessions – so you have the opportunity to tell a story as part of the course and see and wonder about 14 other stories.

The cost of this course is from £315. This includes a course handbook, lunches and refreshments. We are offering early bird (10%) discount for bookings made before 12 September, and second mouse (5%) discount for bookings made between then and 3 October. These discounts will automatically be applied to your invoice.

Please note that this is a weekend course, so the days are long to fit everything in for the accredited training hours. If long days and a Sunday morning aren’t possible for you, then keep an eye on our website for a future weekday course to be scheduled soon.

This course will be held in our Godly Play Scotland training base in the basement of Duddingston Kirk Manse in Edinburgh.
