The committee of the Jane Stirling Festival invite you to a candlelit concert in Holy Trinity Stirling on 8th October.
In order to take better precautions against Covid, the concert and the talk will both take place in the Church. Here we will be able to sit spaced out in a socially distanced way.
The concert will start at 6.30 pm and the doors will be open from 6.10 pm.
CONCERT
The concert will be at 6.30 pm in the Church.
Anna Debowska will play music by Frederic Chopin. It will be the same programme as was played by Chopin in his “ Matinee Musicale “ given in the Hopetoun Rooms, Edinburgh, on 4th October 1848.
During the interval Marcin Jaroszek will tell us about the tour of Scotland made by Chopin in 1848. He will explain the route taken and the places visited.
Chopin was escorted on this tour by his friend and former pupil Jane Stirling.
