THANK YOU to others who are leaving the Diocese:

The Revd Dean Norby – retired on 1 August as Rector of the All Souls Group of churches in south Fife. I thank Dean for all he has done in this Diocese, and wish him and Elizabeth the happiest of retirements.

The Revd Stephen Graham – is moving from being Chaplain at Glenalmond College to new ministry in the Diocese of Europe. My thanks to Stephen for his work with students and staff at the school, and for playing a full part in clergy gatherings and Diocesan life. We send our
best wishes for his ministry in Antwerp.

Holly Scott – is moving to new work nearer her home, after serving as Bishop’s Secretary for a year and a half. Holly has been a friendly and welcoming helper to many in the Dioceses, and especially to me as the Bishop. Thank you, Holly, and every blessing in your new job.

    On the feast day of St Margaret of Scotland we pray especially for the congregations of St Margaret of Scotland, Leven; St Margaret of Scotland, Tayport; and St Margaret, Rosyth. May we all follow St Margaret's example of charity towards all God’s people.This panel, with its painting of a holy person calling us to be holy, is part of the 1600s painted ceiling in St Mary’s Chapel, Grandtully, which is in the care of Historic Scotland.Almighty God,who called your servant Margaret to an earthly thronethat she might advance your heavenly kingdom,and endued her with zeal for your Churchand charity towards your people:mercifully grant that we,who commemorate her example,may be fruitful in good worksand attain to the glorious company of your saints;through Jesus Christ, our Lord,who lives and reigns with youin the unity of the Holy Spirit,one God, world without end.Amen. ...     On the 26th Sunday after Pentecost we read and reflect on Jesus’ warnings of the difficult times ahead for his followers in Jerusalem. Earlier this autumn the sun picked out the stone arches of the bridge over the river Earn in Crieff.As Jesus came out of the temple, one of his disciples said to him, "Look, Teacher, what large stones and what large buildings!"Then Jesus asked him, "Do you see these great buildings?
