40th Anniversary

I was ordained as a priest on 3rd July, 1983, and so this year is the 40th anniversary. The years have gone by very quickly,  as many of you know yourselves, and have had their up and downs like the ministry of every other priest. I’m going to mark the anniversary with a Eucharist, at St Ninian’s Cathedral on the eve of the day, at 6.00pm on Sunday 2nd July.

Please pray for me, and for all priests, that day, and, if you would like to join me in thanksgiving for 40 years, please come, you would be very welcome. By the kindness of others, there will be refreshments!

    On the feast day of St Margaret of Scotland we pray especially for the congregations of St Margaret of Scotland, Leven; St Margaret of Scotland, Tayport; and St Margaret, Rosyth.     On the 26th Sunday after Pentecost we read and reflect on Jesus’ warnings of the difficult times ahead for his followers in Jerusalem.
