National Demystifying Death Week 2022

FYI the good people at Palliative Care Scotland have created a resource called ‘It takes a village’ (Good Life, Good Death, Good Grief :: It takes a village (goodlifedeathgrief.org.uk)) that will be on display at St Luke’s, Glenrothes this demystifying death week 2022 from the 2nd May – 6th May.

    On the feast day of St Margaret of Scotland we pray especially for the congregations of St Margaret of Scotland, Leven; St Margaret of Scotland, Tayport; and St Margaret, Rosyth. May we all follow St Margaret's example of charity towards all God’s people.This panel, with its painting of a holy person calling us to be holy, is part of the 1600s painted ceiling in St Mary’s Chapel, Grandtully, which is in the care of Historic Scotland.Almighty God,who called your servant Margaret to an earthly thronethat she might advance your heavenly kingdom,and endued her with zeal for your Churchand charity towards your people:mercifully grant that we,who commemorate her example,may be fruitful in good worksand attain to the glorious company of your saints;through Jesus Christ, our Lord,who lives and reigns with youin the unity of the Holy Spirit,one God, world without end.Amen. ...     On the 26th Sunday after Pentecost we read and reflect on Jesus’ warnings of the difficult times ahead for his followers in Jerusalem. Earlier this autumn the sun picked out the stone arches of the bridge over the river Earn in Crieff.As Jesus came out of the temple, one of his disciples said to him, "Look, Teacher, what large stones and what large buildings!"Then Jesus asked him, "Do you see these great buildings?
