Revd Tracy Dowling was instituted as Rector of St Kessog’s, Auchterarder and St James’, Muthill, by Rt Revd Ian Paton, Bishop of St Andrews, Dunkeld and Dunblane.
Synod began with a Diocesan Eucharist in which two new canons, Rev Christine Fraser and Rev Graham Taylor, were installed.
Synod business included news of a new Diocesan Communications Group to be set up and the endorsement of the diocesan Gender Justice group.
A cheque from last year’s Bishop’s Lent Appeal was presented to Rev. Canon Dr Anne Tomlinson from SEI.
In the Bishop’s Charge to the diocese, Bishop Ian introduced new ideas for the diocese and outlined his plans for the future.
So far this year St Paul’s, Kinross, have collected 174 large bags of donations to be distributed by Edinburgh Direct Aid in the serious floods area in Bekaa Valley.
St Finnian’s Lochgelly, held a Taize Inspired Service on 10th March, 2019. They welcomed friends from St. Margaret’s Rosyth & Holy Trinity Dunfermline as well as members of our own congregation.
