Dear Churches

My name is Martin Bethell and I work for Community Money Advice (CMA),  we are a UK wide Christian Charity that supports Churches to offer Free Debt Advice to those who are struggling financially, giving them freedom from Debt and a Hope for the future.

This year CMA is celebrating 25 Years of working with people in this way and we are acutely aware that the need for Debt Advice is a growing need in our society and we, therefore, want to encourage more Churches to open centres so that more people can be helped. As I write the UK inflation rate has increased to 7% in the last 12 months and is forecast to rise even higher.

1 in 10 Homes across the UK are struggling with unaffordable Debt and this is causing stress, anxiety, anger and creating the questions How do we cope? Who can help us? Does anybody care?

Hopefully as Churches we do care and perhaps you are asking; How can we help?

We are holding a free webinar via Zoom at 10.30 am on Thursday 26th May which lasts for an hour, and we would love it if you could join us.

The webinar is an opportunity for your church to explore a ministry in this area. You will hear how this ministry works and also be able to ask questions and gain further information about church-led debt advice. Do have a look at our website if you want to learn more about CMA.
