Join the ecumenical pilgrimage from Lindores Abbey Ruins to Abdie Old Kirk on 12th September 2026 from 2pm

Thank you for booking on the Ecumenical Pilgrimage on Saturday 12th September.

Further information:

Please gather in the grounds of Lindores Abbey Ruins between 1.45 and 2pm. Car parking is available at Fife council car park on Cupar Road, opposite Newburgh church KY14 6HA (please avoid parking at Lindores Abbey Distillery unless you are visiting the Distillery)

Sturdy shoes are recommended for the 2 mile pilgrimage across fields and woodland.  A staff or walking poles might be helpful for the slopes. Depending on the weather, sunscreen, hats and waterproofs are also advised.

Accompanying dogs are welcome but, as the route passes close to farm livestock, they must be kept on a leash at all times.

Our final destination is Abdie Old Kirk ruins KY14 6HX where the outdoor service will be held. You may wish to bring a rug or picnic chair if you are not doing the walk / coming directly to the service.

Cars may be parked in the field immediately opposite the Old Kirk entrance or on the hardstanding outside Abdie church where toilet facilities and refreshments are available.  The Old Kirk is accessed by a 0.3 mile single track lane from the end of Abdie church car park.

In the event of inclement weather the service will be held inside Abdie church instead of at the Old Kirk.

Please do get in touch if you have any further questions
