On the fifth Sunday of Easter we remember the new commandment Jesus gave to his disciples, the commandment of love. From the wide sandy beach at Leven there is a view up to the hill of Largo Law.Jesus said, “Little children, I am with you only a little longer. You will look for me; and as I said to the Jews so now I say to you, 'Where I am going, you cannot come.' I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another."John 13:33-35O God,who alone can bring harmony to the minds of your faithful people:give us grace to love the things you command, and to desire the things you promise;that, amid the uncertain changes of this world, our hearts may be firmly fixed where true joys are to be found;through Jesus Christ, our Lord, who lives and reigns with you,in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, world without end.Amen. ...
