Growing Congregations helps clergy, vestries and congregations develop a plan and strategy for growth in mission.

The programme heavily emphasises the gifts already present in a given church’s congregation. Working with the congregation as a whole, facilitators work to discern three key gifts identified by the people. The clergy, vestry and other invited individuals who make up the Mission Planning Group take the results from a day-long congregational workshop and work together to develop a list of 5 Key Actions. These actions will help the congregation to grow in God’s mission from the strength of their gifts.  This list, with the list of three key gifts, will become a framework to develop a mission plan and help this congregation become a Growing Congregation.
